Masonry Painting
Expert masonry painting and weatherproofing for all types of exterior walls
About This Service
Masonry painting is one of the most impactful ways to improve the appearance and weather protection of your home. A well-prepared and freshly painted exterior can transform a property's appearance and add significantly to its value. We specialise in masonry painting for all surface types and use only premium exterior coatings that provide lasting protection against rain, frost, UV and biological growth.
What Masonry Painting Involves
- Full preparation of masonry surfaces — cleaning, treating algae and repairing cracks
- Repointing of mortar joints where required
- Application of masonry stabilising solution to porous or friable surfaces
- Two coats of premium exterior masonry paint or textured coating
- Painting of window reveals, sills and quoins
- Weatherproofing of vulnerable areas around window and door openings
Why Use a Professional?
Masonry preparation is the most critical factor in a long-lasting paint job. Incorrectly prepared masonry — particularly failing to treat algae, repair cracks or apply stabilising primer — leads to rapid paint failure. Our masonry painting specialists invest the time in thorough preparation to ensure results that last.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best exterior masonry paints?
We regularly use Sandtex Ultra Smooth, Dulux Weathershield and Johnstone's Stormshield. All offer excellent coverage, adhesion and weather resistance.
Can you paint pebbledash?
Yes — pebbledash requires a highly flexible masonry paint applied generously to ensure penetration into the irregular surface. We have extensive experience with pebbledash properties.
Do you need scaffolding to paint a house exterior?
For most two-storey properties we use tall extension ladders or a scaffolding tower. For taller buildings or complex facades, full scaffolding may be required.
How do you choose a masonry paint colour?
We recommend viewing large paint chips in the actual light conditions of the property before committing. We can provide sample pots for you to test on the wall.
